The Tarot can be described as an ancient pictorial symbolism of the Universe and man’s journey through life.
Its origins have never been proved although it is believed to conceal behind its symbolism the esoteric knowledge held by the priests of ancient civilisations.
The Tarot is a means of linking our conscious and our subconscious—releasing the intuitive powers which we all possess.
It can certainly be used for life guidance, but is also invaluable as a pathway for self-development.
Signposts and directions are to be found in its symbols, colours and imagery. The symbols may stand for other things or other concepts than those shown on the cards. The concepts may be abstract such as honour, patience, courage.
Because the Tarot relies on the universal language of symbolism, its influence has, over several centuries, spread through the world unrestricted by language barriers or semantics.
Readings look beyond and within the immediate situation to expose wider needs and actions. Some will show patterns or cycles in life or surface fears or sorrows. Others will return the person to the origin of the current situation.
But all will point to ways of going forward. If they show problems, they also show potentialities and possible solutions - not necessarily easy ones, but still ways of continuing.
If you are feeling lost, and confused about your direction in life, about relationships, work, or career choices, a Tarot consultation can make you aware of your choices, and the paths to avoid. It can also reveal potential opportunities which may not be immediately obvious. |
